About the role
Are you a smart, savvy Sourcing expert, able to quickly grasp business opportunities and solve problems, communicate with clarity, lead & influence others across complex organisation? Then come and be part of our Indirect Sourcing team.
Our Sourcing Division aims to find and establish suppliers that meet organisation needs, quality, service and commercial requirements, at the lowest overall cost.
As part of the ongoing enhancement and development of our Sourcing organisation, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager to support our growth.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide sourcing support for secondary packaging, services, spare parts, tooling, and capital expenditures (CAPEX) to the operations of Eviosys plants in the UK and Ireland. This is a pivotal role in the continued development of our Sourcing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and Support the execution of Sourcing strategies
- Identify & lead sourcing projects including activities from RFP, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management to claim management.
- Drive cost opportunities, synergies, challenge the status quo (where appropriate) in partnership with the sourcing team and internal stakeholders to bring value and productivity for the business.
- Develop Supplier partnership through negotiation of new supply agreement and management of existing ones including securing capacity.
- Monitor and review suppliers' performances with operations with reference to the agreed standard and service levels.
- Liaise effectively externally with suppliers, other sourcing members as well as internal stakeholders
- Effectively build and communicate complex information to internal stakeholders to facilitate understanding and decision-making
- Support business (sales, operations) objectives with efficient, cost effective solutions at the required service & quality levels
- Ensure compliance to policies, adherence to Group systems and standards
- Manage invoicing and claim issues with suppliers as well as feed Market Intelligence on suppliers capabilities, competition, technology
- Conduct & communicate budgeting exercise, reporting, data management including pricing control
- Ensure continuous improvement through better control, reporting in partnership with capability/back office team
Key Skills
- A university degree in Procurement/Sourcing, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering related field, or relevant experience
- Demonstratble experience working within sourcing.
- Demonstrated learning agility working in complex & diverse environment
- Reasonable level of technical knowledge and good project management skills,
- Strong leadership, communication & influencing skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to all levels.
- Demonstrated team player abilities
- Strong analytical skills and use of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Continuous improvement mind-set
- Strong self-management & problem-solving
- Project management
- Ability to travel (25% on average)
- ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle)
- Fluent In English; Other European languages are a strong plus
