Shift Electrician

Your work environment:

The Braunstone Eviosys Plant is one of the largest food can-manufacturing Plants in Europe producing cans from 3 high-speed production lines that operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Vacancies have arisen for Shift Electrician to join our Shift-based team.   The shift pattern we operate is a continental shift pattern of 2 x 12 hour days followed by 2 x 12 hour nights with extended breaks built in (average 37.5 hours per week) – working a total of 144 shifts per year, with some optional overtime available.  We are looking for individuals with electrical maintenance experience in a demanding high speed production FMGC environment, with good analytical, reporting and communication skills. 

Your mission in Eviosys:

As a Shift Electrician you will be responsible for providing breakdown support across all production lines and service functions.  You should have the ability to find resolutions to issues using effective fault-finding techniques, complete Planned, Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities including record keeping, carry out all quality checks/inspections ensuring that they are recorded/completed to company standards.  You will also assist with health and safety within the Plant by possessing excellent housekeeping disciplines, by ensuring that a safe method of work is adopted and the appropriate personal protective equipment is worn at all times. 

About you:

In order for successful candidates to effectively perform in this role you will be a qualified/Time served Electrical Apprenticeship holding NVQ L3/City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications in Electrical Engineering, have experience of 3-phase drives and controls, possess a high level of PLC fault finding and diagnostics experience, be BS7671 18th Edition qualified and have proven knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations and of Safe Working Practices including Lock Off and Tag Out.
 
In addition. it would be advantageous if you:

•    were HNC qualified, 
•    have experience of Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLC – ideally in high speed production environment, 
•    hold the BS2391 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations qualification.  
•    are qualified to carryout PAT Testing having completed a Level 3 Qualification in the Requirements for electrical installations. 
•    Possess proven working knowledge of AutoCAD and the creation and modification of Electrical and Mechanical drawings. 
•    Any project experience would also be useful.
